Art Illustrates Life: Graphic novels aren't just for superheroes
May 14 | 3 PM ET

What does a mish-mash group of women's basketball players and a Route 66 explorer have in common? They all star in graphic novels! That's right. Graphic novels aren't just for superheroes anymore. Contemporary comics are so broad, you're as likely to run across an illustrated memoir as you are sketch-supported sports fiction.

Join in Thursday, May 14 at 3 p.m. (ET), to hear author/illustrator Shing Yin Khor (The American Dream?), and author/illustrator duo Carly Usdin and Noah Hayes (The Avant-Guards) about all things graphic novel, from the evolution of comics to how teachers should embrace the genre.

Perfect for grades 9+ but everyone is welcome.
